Child day care in Great Malvern

Playhouse Nursery is a child day care centre in Great Malvern. We also welcome children from Worcester and the surrounding areas.

Creative learning paired with fun activities

Playing and talking are the main ways through which young children learn about themselves and the world around them. Children's activities include enjoying the garden in all seasons and getting messy whilst being creative both outside and inside. We paint, have sand and water play, cut and glue, along with many more activities. We enjoy singing, music and stories through child and adult interaction, thereby encouraging speech, memory and confidence. Contact Playhouse Nursery in Malvern today to find out more about what we do.

Our aims

  • To enhance the development of the individual child to fulfil their potential through play and quality care.
  • To provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment where children can begin to develop their health and well-being - socially, emotionally and physically.
  • To work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and their families at Playhouse Nursery and to have their beliefs valued and respected.

Our objectives

  • Fun and friendship with children and other adults.
  • Individual care and attention made possible by a high ratio of adults to children.
  • The support of a personal key worker for the child and family to build positive relationships.
  • Opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s progress at our nursery.
  • Using observations to discover the individual child’s interests which helps us to plan challenging, but achievable, activities to extend development and learning.
  • Children are given the opportunity to learn with the support of adults both indoors and outside, where a variety of activities and resources are accessible.
  • To support your child’s development in the best possible way, we work in partnership with external professionals and other childcare providers who may become involved with your child’s care. We will also use the wider community to support your child’s learning when we feel it is appropriate and safe to do so.
